This Privacy Policy explains how Elash Design Studio LLC (“Elash Design Studio”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit elashdesign.com (the “Site”), contact us, or book a call with us. We are a design, development and SEO studio based in Los Angeles, California, and we work remotely with clients across the United States.
If you have questions about this policy, email [email protected] or call (323) 333-6480.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use the project inquiry form on our Start a Project page, we collect:
- Your name and email address (required);
- Your phone number, company name and existing website address, if you choose to provide them;
- The services you are interested in and the message you write about your project.
The form also records which page it was sent from, and it includes a hidden field that helps us filter out automated spam. When you email us, call us, or book a call, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your contact details and anything you tell us about your project.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and, if you allow them, our analytics and marketing tools collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. Our hosting and security provider processes this information to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse.
How we use your information
- To reply to your inquiry, prepare proposals, and provide the services you ask for;
- To schedule and hold calls you book with us;
- To run, secure and improve the Site, including fixing errors and preventing spam and fraud;
- To understand how visitors use the Site, if you consent to analytics cookies;
- To measure and improve our advertising, if you consent to marketing cookies;
- To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
How the contact form works
When you send the form, your submission is delivered to our inbox at [email protected] through our email-delivery provider, Resend, and our website host, Cloudflare, which send the message on our behalf. That provider processes the submission only to deliver it to us. We keep inquiry emails in our business email account and do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. We group them as follows:
- Necessary: needed for the Site to work and to stay secure, and to remember your cookie choices. These are always on.
- Analytics: help us understand which pages are visited and how people find the Site. These are off unless you turn them on.
- Marketing: help us measure the results of our advertising and show relevant ads on other platforms. These are off unless you turn them on.
When you first visit the Site, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics and marketing cookies. Until you choose, they stay off. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Tools we use
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (Google LLC): Tag Manager loads our measurement tags, and Google Analytics measures visits and actions on the Site, such as clicks on our phone number, email address, booking link and form submissions. Analytics runs only with your consent. Learn how Google uses data at Google's partner sites page.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.): measures the results of ads on Facebook and Instagram and may be used to build advertising audiences. It runs only with your consent to marketing cookies. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics (Ahrefs Pte. Ltd.): privacy-focused traffic statistics. We load it only with your consent to analytics cookies.
- HoneyBook (HoneyBook, Inc.): when you click “Schedule a Call” you leave our Site for our HoneyBook scheduling page, where HoneyBook collects the details you enter to book the call. HoneyBook's own privacy policy applies there.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for money. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host, email-delivery provider, email and file storage, scheduling, and, with your consent, analytics and advertising tools. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- With contractors who help deliver a project you have hired us for, under confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our clients, the public or us.
- As part of a merger, sale or transfer of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
Under California law, letting a third party such as Meta use cookie data for cross-context behavioral advertising may count as “sharing”. That only happens if you accept marketing cookies, and you can opt out at any time as described below.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to;
- Access a copy of that information;
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, reject marketing cookies in “Cookie settings”;
- Not be discriminated against for using these rights.
To make a request, email [email protected] or call (323) 333-6480. We will confirm your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity, usually by matching information you give us with what we hold. You can use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that they are acting for you.
In the last 12 months we have collected the categories of information described in “Information we collect” above (identifiers, commercial information about services you ask about, internet activity, and the content of your messages) for the purposes described in this policy.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of marketing cookies and of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not load marketing tools for that browser.
How long we keep information
- Inquiries that do not become projects: up to 2 years after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client records and correspondence: for the length of our engagement and up to 7 years afterwards for tax, accounting and legal purposes.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months; other tools follow their own retention settings.
How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards for a business of our size, including HTTPS encryption on the Site, access controls and two-factor authentication on our business accounts, and limiting access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
The Site and our services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, such as our scheduling page and client websites in our case studies. Their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will add a notice on the Site.
